Paula’s Personal Yoga Philosophy

As an athlete, I had many injuries over the years. When I started practicing yoga, it made my body feel better. My body felt like it was healing. I also felt like there was some spiritual aspect to the yoga practice, but couldn’t put my finger on how it was happening. Over time, an inner awareness developed and I was able to observe how I was responding in life. It challenged me to actually listen to what my body needed rather than what I wanted. This was happening at all levels of my being, not just the physical aspects. Through the practice of yoga, I have grown to respect myself and nurture the intuitive nature of my heart. We are all born with a light in our soul. When we can see that light, we feel good about ourselves, worthwhile and connected. We are able to give to others and know that our presence makes a contribution in the world. I think yoga can be used as medicine. My intent is to guide you to use that medicine as a way to see your light and feel worthwhile. This practice will assist you in deepening your capacity to stay focused in the present moment and listen from your heart. So, open the space inside yourself and let your life force flow!
