Session Information

A private session is scheduled for you and I to have a dialogue focusing on the issues that are currently important to you, and that rob you of your energy and vitality level. Through this conversation the process of self-introspection begins.

We were all born with a light in our soul. As our reflection and awareness develops, we become aware of the resistances that can cloud of light. We observe our attitudes, feelings and behaviors. We develop the capacity to discriminate between life giving and destructive thinking, dissipating that cloudiness. Practices are derived from the yoga sutras (ancient philosophy that studies the nature of consciousness as it relates to the divine), creating a steadiness of mind. This leads to self-appreciation and acceptance within. Self-acceptance gives us the patience to nurture what we truly need rather than what we want.

When we feel good about ourselves, we feel worthwhile, connected, able to give to others and know that our presence makes a contribution in the world.

Yoga psychology provides a set of practices which may address these areas:

  • Anxiety and stress
  • Depression
  • Relationship issues
  • Panic disorders
  • Confusion and loss of direction
  • General well-being

These practices assist in providing clarity to confusion, encourage love, forgiveness and self-acceptance. Overall assisting the body to feel whole, vital and integrated.

Your session may include one or more of these practices:

  • Psychotherapy
  • Nutritional guidance
  • Communication skills
  • Meditation
  • Pranayama (breathing practice)
  • Asana

Sessions are an hour in length unless otherwise specified. A 24-hour notice is required to avoid cancellation fee. To book an appointment, please call Paula at (972) 239-4202 or send email to pweithman@aol.com.

Paula's Personal Yoga Philosphy

As an athlete, I had many injuries through the years. When I started practicing yoga, it made my body feel better. My body felt like it was healing. I also felt like there was some spiritual aspect to the yoga practice, but couldn't put my finger on how it was happening. Over time, an inner awareness developed and I was able to observe how I was responding in life. It challenged me to actually listen to what my body needed rather that what I wanted. This was happening at all levels of my being, not just the physical aspects. Through the practice of yoga, I have grown to respect myself and nurture the intuitive nature of my heart.

We are all born with a light in our soul. When we can see that light, we feel good about ourselves, worthwhile and connected. We are able to give to others and know that our presence makes a contribution in the world.

I think yoga can be used as a medicine. My intent is to guide you to use that medicine as a way to see your light and feel worthwhile. This practice will assist you in deepening your capacity to stay focused in the present moment and listen from your heart. So, open the space inside yourself and let your life force flow!
